Parenting Reflections: How to Regroup When You’ve Had a Rough Parenting Day (Yelling, Losing Your Cool, and Feeling Shame & Guilt)

Have you ever had one of those parenting days where you just keep messing up and making parenting mistakes? You yell at your child, you lose your cool, and you feel guilt and shame and like you don’t know how to get back on track?

In this week's episode, I bring you behind the scenes of my own parenting life and walk you through a day where I yelled, called my son “mean” and “a terrible brother,” and ultimately just felt off my parenting game. I share what happened, why I was actually primed to make these mistakes that day, and how I recovered and got my family back on track.

Here’s the thing: We ALL have those days where we get it wrong more than we get it right, and knowing how to recover from those days is EVERYTHING. Because when we know how to recover and repair after yelling and losing our cool, we leave our relationship with our highly sensitive child even stronger than it was before our mistakes.
